The hotel of choice in York. The place was homey and had pleasant staff from checking in to checking out every staff member, loved the stay. It had very central location close to City Centre. There was plenty of excellent options for full English breakfast.

Generally, the place was charming and had courteous staff from checking in to checking out every staff member. Perfect and hot breakfast, food was delicious.

We booked small double room for 1 night and had a lovely stay. It was tidy, included a large bed plus central heating, multi-channel television and ironing facilities.

The service was welcoming, however some people working there were relaxed.

Staff and location are perfect, I liked it. The restaurant serves tasty Chinese food.

Unique place to stay while in York. Funny staff, airy room, super bed. Great swimming pool and beautiful location. The service was amazing here. There were free internet and handy parking available.

The staff was best and the room was brand-new, we had a very pleasant experience. Exceptional service, just what we needed. Its location was central, walking distance to York Minster. The attached restaurant was lovely with a good choice of meals in the menu.

Not so great views.

Location is fab, property is spotless and breakfast is rich. It's magnificent with very big beds and extraordinary views.

The breakfast is TASTY and the staff is attentive. Fabulous central location, walking distance to city walls. Fantastic view of castle.

Very central location, not too far from a historical place museum. We had the small queen room with a quiet bed. The breakfast was super and had lots of options.

Absolutely beautiful view, lovely bed and gorgeous breakfast. We really enjoyed our room - it was budget and common. This accommodation had a central setting. Also, national railway museum was placed just 1 km from the hotel.

this hotel is equal to 3 stars. we truly enjoyed to be at galtres, its location and staff. there is cafe bettys cafe tea rooms, set 500 metres walk away.
